PRIVACY NOTICE
This Privacy Notice explains how Norvellopocketv Maritim Opplysning AS (Org. nr. 928 417 603, C. Sundts gate 55, 5004 Bergen, Norway), operating the website norvellopocketv.baby, processes personal data in compliance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven).
1. DATA CONTROLLER
Norvellopocketv Maritim Opplysning AS is the data controller responsible for personal data collected strictly through direct reader correspondence or technical server operation. For any privacy-related requests, contact [email protected].
2. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY
- Client-Side Field Note Tool: Text entered into the Field Note Composer on our Contact page is processed locally in your browser’s memory to generate a clipboard copy or downloadable `.txt` file. It is never transmitted to our servers unless you voluntarily send it to us via email.
- Direct Email Correspondence: When you send an email to `[email protected]`, we receive your email address, name (if provided), and the contents of your message. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in responding to reader inquiries and maintaining scientific accuracy.
- Standard Web Server Logs: Our hosting infrastructure automatically records transient HTTP request logs (anonymized or truncated IP address, requested URL, timestamp, HTTP status code, and browser user-agent string) strictly to prevent distributed denial-of-service attacks and diagnose broken links. Logs are rotated and deleted within 14 days.
3. THIRD-PARTY SHARING & TRANSFERS
We do not sell, rent, or trade visitor data. Our static website loads zero third-party advertising scripts, behavioral tracking pixels, or external font networks. All pages, stylesheets, and scripts are served directly from our primary domain.
4. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER GDPR
You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of any personal correspondence you have sent to us, as well as the right to restrict processing or lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
